I started Slice of Tuscany full time in 2013 in order to help others experience the real, authentic Italy that I have come to know and love. My goal is to eliminate the stress and fear of the unknown that comes with trip planning and travel in Italy.

To date, I have worked on more than 400 trips for couples, families, friends, and small groups with Italy travel ranging from Venice to Lake Como, Sicily to Puglia, and all the spaces in between. I am honored to help people create incredible memories and enjoy the trip of a lifetime.

Originally from Kansas City, I moved to Italy in 2010 and began working part time as a wine tour guide in Florence and Tuscany. Over the next several years, I expanded my network of local guides, chefs, and artists throughout Italy, and identified a gaping hole in the service-side of Italy travel planning, I decided to bring all of those people together and to flip the travel planning model on its head!

Each trip we plan is based on the individual traveler’s interests and needs, and not on sending you to places or suggesting you things in order to earn a commission or make money. We work in an honest and straight-forward manner to plan the best possible trip for you at the honest, real price.

I lived in Italy full-time from 2010-2016. In 2014 I met my husband in Italy (an American with the last name of Pasquali of all things!) and in 2016 we moved back to the U.S. We currently live outside of D.C. in Solomons, MD with our dog, Lily. I travel back to Italy several times a year spending anywhere from 2-6 months there each year in order to stay on the pulse of things, create new tours and experiences, and meet new and interesting people who can offer my guests amazing experiences.

I first came to Italy in 2008 – a whirlwind trip of only 2 days in Florence, which obviously was not enough. I couldn't wait to get back. In 2014 I moved from Australia to Florence permanently – and after studying, working and being married here, the city still hasn't lost its charm. I'm excited to be part of the Slice team and to help others see my real Italy!
